We have been treated to a veritable feast of young talent this year throughout the Youth Speaks competition. Thirty seven teams took part in the semi-finals at Grantham, Bedford and Leicester.

The range of subjects chosen and researched by the teams threw out some challenges to the audience including 'Attitudes to Reading', 'The effects of the Recession', 'Do footballers get paid too much?' – even 'Do men have a future?'
