Rotary Clubs and Schools  working together… to promote the talents and abilities of our Young People

Many schools have a Gifted and Talented Initiative… this fits in perfectly.

  •  This is an Internet led project, aimed at 13-18 years olds, who are gifted in the field of Science and Mathematics.
  • A topic is chosen and  schools can participate in genuine, scientific research
  • Topics have included global warming,  discovering space and sports sciences.
  • Bangs  and Flashes
  • Photograph: Scientifi experiment with bangs and flashes.A specialised web site is set up www.excitmentofscience.org normally around February, so that is when research starts.
  • This is monitored and selection is made by the Excitement of Science team.
  • Transport to London is arranged by the sponsoring Club.

A flyer for schools which can be adapted for your Club is available on the District  web site.

This really is a wonderful opportunity to offer to these young people and what an experience for them. Also something they can put on their CV which any Higher Education Institution should regard very highly.

If your Club would like more information about the project please contact:
